This Saint Joseph pewter medal is dedicated to the earthly father of Jesus.  Joseph was a carpenter, a working man of humble orgins, and the husband of the Virgin Mary.  Saint Joseph is known as the patron saint of workers and of the Universal Church.  He is depicted here with the child Jesus and a lily stalk.
