The ancient juglet, approximately 6 inches high was probably used for liquids such as water, milk or oil. It is the perfect size to fit on your bookcase and serve as a reminder of the Samaritan woman at the well.
Each piece of pottery is unique and there are slight variations among the pieces as far as height, width and placement of handles. The pottery was made in Israel using the same process as used 2000 years ago and has been imported to the U.S. by Osmun Gifts.
These pottery pieces are not glazed. While the ancients used them as is, it is not recommended that liquids be placed in them today. They may be used after cleaning for storage of grains.
